Thorough research was done on the hand crafts of the Koliaee region in the west of Iran. These include such items as crockery, carpets, felt work, gelims, pottery, etc. This collection expounds completely new and independent field research that has been carried out about the Koliaee region. The Koliaee region belongs to the Koliaee tribe. This tribe is from Kurdish stock near Van Lake. In this collection some information is given about the social infrastructure, the life style of the people and the main populated centers. The crockery of this region is a well-known and delicate branch of Van. This collection is in Persian and ready to be printed.It has been enriched with 225 color photographs.

The contents of this research are absolutely undocumented up to this point in time. The method used was completely based on field work. The information was obtained by interviewing people. The photographs, illustrations and the designs collected are based on exhaustive research from the very old carpets of the region.

In this collection, the researcher strove to collect, record and maintain whatever was available, and that was about to vanish, of the traditional art and hand crafts in both a sense of theory and practice. The classic designs which reflect the tastes, thoughts, natures and even spirits of the people of the region have been recorded. One photograph was at least used for presentation of each record.There are 21 designs. There are more than 120 photographs of the hand crafts.

There are also photos of carpets and other hand crafts. Complete explanations are given for each design.
