M.S.A. Quality System

M.S.A. Quality System consists of two parts:

I) Quality Assurance (Q.A.)

This is independent of other units and can not be over-ruled by anyone of them with the exception of M.S.A. managing director and then only with code and technical justification.

The Q.A. prepares inspection procedures prior to production paying special attention to the standard and required specifications already agreed upon with the customer and submits the same to the relevant Quality Control unit for execution.

The Q.A. is duty-bound to upgrade quality of the products and make sure that the inspections are carried out strictly in compliance with the relevant Quality Plan. It is also responsible to inspect all incoming and outgoing products/materials and is authorized to approve or disapprove them based on the standard and specifications required. Furthermore, it issues an inspection certificate for the product based on DIN 50049-3.1 (A)(B)(C) as requested by the customer.

II) Quality Control (Q.C.)

The Q.C. controls our production process on the basis of the Quality Plan already prepared by the Q.A. and with special attention to the drawings and technical specifications made available by the engineering unit of the relevant group.

The Q.A. provides the customer with a final inspection book for the finished product which includes the following:

1) quality control plan
2) material summary report
3) material certificate
4) welding procedure specifications (W.P.S.)
5) procedure qualification record (P.Q.R.)
6) radiography test report & welder's traceability

7) ultrasonic test report
8) heat treatment chart
9) visual & dimensional test report
10) reinforcing pads air soap test report
11) procedure test report
12) hardness test report
13) sandblasting & painting test report
14) name-plate print
15) assembly drawings (as built)

There is a well-equipped central laboratory in M.S.A. which is under the Q.A. and has the following laboratories under its control.
